Avari's old story of Princess Cadence:

'This is the story about how Princess Cadence was raised, and how she got her Alicorn powers.

Princess Cadence was a found as orphan baby inside a distant forest. She was raised by Earth ponies that was filled with Love and Compasion.

But a there was a powerfull sorceress named Prismia, she was reclusive and harbored jealousy toward the villagers, she used a powerful necklace that amplified all of her evil and jealousy powers, she drained the villagers from all their love. Cadance confronted Prismia and by defeating her with the magic she stole from her, Prismia changed her ways.

Princess Celestia recognized that Cadence was like a true Princess for everyone. So she turned Cadence into an Alicorn and took her in as her Niece, and because the one who ruled the crystal empire before King Sombra stole the throne was a Unicorn Princess, "Princess Amora" a very distant relative to Cadence, she was sent to protect the crystal empire.'
