Unusual post around here, however, this is a topic that might concern you.
If you are in the EU or UK or know anyone from there, please sign/share the "Stop Killing Games" petition which requires publishers to leave videogames in a playable state instead of shutting them down.
An example for this is what happened to The Crew, that even support for singleplayer mode got discontinued after the servers shut down.

For the UK petition, it's needed around 30000 more votes and for the EU one, around 250000 more, and we have no more than 1 month left, all of us need your help.

For a reference, 1 week ago, the UK petition had little less than 30000 votes and the EU one around 500000; this is a clear proof that us, gamers, united, can do anything. This is not just for players who play old games, this is not only for players who are in the UK or in the EU, this is for YOU, the gamer. YOU do not deserve to lose access to something you paid for whenever the publisher decides so, and publishers shouldn't have the right to take something away from you whenever they decide so.

If this succeeds over the UK and EU, it will definitely succeed in the other parts of the world. 1 vote matters.
