I'd like to share with you all several changes to our staff team roster, and introduce you all to something new that we'll be trying out here.

Staff Team Leads

As most of you may know, a lot of us come from a former, very popular jailbreak server that was called Adrenl.in. There was a Head Admin on the server who was basically in charge of the staff team. I've decided to give this a shot and see how it will work on our server.

We're calling these staff members "Leads". We will be taking out the Helper rank and replacing it with our new Guide rank. This means we'll have a few more new ranks, here's the list we're working on:

[TrMod] - Trial Mod
[Mod] - Mod
[LMod] - Lead Mod

[TrGuide] - Trial Guide
[Guide] - Guide
[LGuide] - Lead Guide

[Staff Lead]- Staff Lead

I want to take this opportunity to clarify the role of Staff Lead and team Leads (see below). I will also explain the trial proccess below as well.

What are trial staff ?

Trial is given to whomever's applications gets accepted in our 'Staff Applications' thread (not yet created) by their team lead. They will then go into a 2-week trial period that determines whether or not they pass his/her trial. Full staff vote on the trials in a private thread that basically gives you the option to vote "Yes" or "No" with an explantion behind their vote. If the trial passes and is granted full staff, they won't be able to see our feedback because the thread will be archived to a private Lead+ forum.

What is a Lead's job ?

Game-related:
• Reports about game exploits (or who is abusing them).

Miscellaneous:
• Concerns about a staff member acting inappropriately or abusing their staff powers.
• Any other concern that may be of a sensitive nature, or that you're uncomfortable posting publicly (e.g. bullying, harassment, etc.).

I would also like to point out that Leads are in charge of applications for their specific team (ie. accepting/declining Mod applications if you're a Lead Mod).

[Staff Lead]

Staff Lead is a separate but equal member of the lead team.

The staff leads role can be summarized as follows:
• Serve as an advisor to the team leads
• Ensure sure that all KCG staff positions maintain a positive balance of effort vs reward
• Work with team leads to revise or add new staff guidelines as the community evolves.
• Help the team leads ensure their teams are adequately staffed
• Arbitrate any of our (hopefully rare) intra-staff conflicts
• Respond decisively to accusations or negative feedback leveled at staff
• Be a single point of contact for anything that doesn't fall neatly under one teams umbrella
