Cave Story : Genesis (Doukutsu Monogatari : sousai-ki), created by Winry The Wrench (Hanako K.K.), is an excellent and highly polished side-scrolling platformer game spin-off from Cave Story (Doukutsu Monogatari), created by Studio Pixel (Amaya Daisuke).available for the PC, Linux, Mac, and the soon-to-come Wii.

Cave Story is a spotlight classic featuring run and gun gameplay inspired by games such as Metroid and Castlemania, with a stunning soundtrack and 8-bit graphics, and an amazingly well written storyline - overall providing a very enjoyable experience for the rest of us.

The story is an alternative that what if "The Project Caret" AKA Karen Hyphen intervened at the end of the war and met quote, and others characters such as Mako the all-knowing mimiga.
