First Knights & Merchants group on steam for anyone who likes this game

The Knights & Merchants Remake (KaM Remake) is a fan-made mod for the 1998 strategy game Knights & Merchants. Using its own engine, this mod doesnt change the gameplay at all. All original units and buildings are available with addition of Marketplace (which was planned in initial release of game but was left behind for some reason). The mod improves the game overally. Adds some small features like hotkeying units, less laggy late game stages(thanks to really improved engine), VERY easy-to-use multiplayer screen with a lot of working servers, a LOT of various languages in settings, coop missions for multiplayer, multiplayer battle maps and of course traditional building and fighting maps. Old campaigns like The Peasants Rebellion or The Shattered Kingdom are also available in singleplayer, some missions even in MP.

I am a little late... yes I know...
But still, at least something to write a lil announcement about!

I was waiting for this game to come on steam and as soon as I noticed it I just had to buy it. Another good thing is that this version works with KaM Remake too, even with steam overlay which is a neat detail.

If anyone is interested in a multiplayer session just add me and we can set something up~

That is true, but of course this only works in single player.

In the remake you can adjust speed with the F6 - F8 keys. F6 is 3x, F7 is 6x, F8 is 10x

I played several sessions over LAN with 2 my friends. It was the original, unedited game. Remake version though offers way better server browsing for both, pubs and LANs.
