Partnering up with the UN has been one of the best decisions I have made since this all began. They are friendly, and I can tell friendships are blossoming, but they are still fresh. There are still things we do not know about each other, or our pasts. Despite being surrounded by others, I can't help but feel like I don't quite fit in yet... In a weird way, it's still kind of lonely.

I am not sure if the winter is playing with my head, but as I began to nibble on some frozen peaches for breakfast, I could have sworn I heard the voice of someone I knew on a mayday broadcast over the radio. From what I understand, a helicopter went down off the coast. The name of the broadcaster though... I mean it can't be can it? Remember that one friend of mine that we met in Brazil that was stung by a mosquito and his throat swelled up like a melon.

Yeah, we used to call him 'Goiter.' It became a call sign to him, he wore his swollen name with pride. It's possible to run into someone with his real name, but unlikely... Hope is one of the most powerful things I have found since the dead started to animate. Yet hope is a fickle wench, and can be an illusion of good tidings that make you blind to reality. It's been five minutes since the radio went silent, and I dare not respond and broadcast my location. I think, for once, I'm going to have to be brave and investigate this. If anything, the wreckage of a helicopter could have some useful supplies, like a GPS or medical gear.
