The Imperial Intelligence service (II) is a state executive body with the authority to implement government policy in the galactic security of the Galactic Empire, counter-terrorism, the protection and defence of the state border of the Galactic Empire, the protection of internal or external space, the territorial space, the exclusive economic zone, the continental shelf and their natural resources, ensuring the information security of the Empire and exercising the basic functions of the state security services specified in the Imperial legislation, as well as coordinating the counterintelligence efforts of the federal executive bodies that have the power to do so.

The Chairman of the Commission for the Preservation of the New Order (COMPNOR) oversees the activity of the Imperial Intelligence Service.
