IceDragon Game Network

Founded in the early 1980's by Matt Horn. This group has seen the rise of over 10,000 active members and sadly fallen to less than 20 active members currently. The members we do have play games for the sake of fun... nothing more. Several players have worked in the industry and even been semi-pro competitors at one point or another in their careers. The group's interests, ages, and skill levels vary greatly, but we all agree that any player is welcome here so long as they abide by the following:


1) Respect one another. Especially those displaying the IDGN tag.

2) Don't act like a baby... if you get shot, or lose in a game -- then practice. IDGN was never about whiny players.

3) Being a humble winner is also a good sign of character. We do on RARE occasion trash talk, but those that are excessive about their "greatness" get old quick. It's a game, wait till you cure cancer or do something important to feel like you have reason to boast.

4) If you’re playing an RPG or some type of game that has random drops, if you know the item that just dropped would be more beneficial to another player, or the other player has mentioned they’re waiting on it … give it to them. Being greedy pisses players off and usually hurts the group you’re gaming with, and the long term interest in the game. If your part of the team, act like it!

5) On a related note, don't be a Santa! Games are meant to be fun and challenging -- don't go dropping level 20 items to a level 5 player... yeah it may feel like helping, but you're actually killing the game's fun for all involved, and robbing players of the game-play experience. It's like telling someone the end of a movie just because you've seen it before them. Help them "occasionally", don't just walk in and do everything for them. Walking around with a higher level player while they kill everything sucks too.

6) Last but far from least, have fun. We’re all here to forget our problems for an hour or two and escape the real world… please don’t drag it in the door with you… wipe the real world off your feet, kick off your shoes, and make yourself at home in the non-reality that's offered here.
