I do not like how personal image is perceived to be important in today's society, particularly in the sense of people who do not eat meat. In a sense the problem with it is sarcasm, because no one actually want there to be no meat consumption, unless they are full of themselves because of their own self image, or like to project their sense of right on people who they perceive to be "omnivores." In a sense, self projection is sarcasm in itself, because projecting reality on others is insinuating that their reality is false; sarcastically stating that the one projecting is right, and the other is wrong. Perhaps all self projection is sarcastic in a way. It is important to discernibly recognize the different kinds of self projection, and the effect it has on others. Sarcasm should be a tool used only for humor in the ideal scenario. Sarcasm extends way past the issue of physical appearance, and sarcastic humor.
