Hy-LAN Party 1.0 Group!

General Rules

1. We are on the Hyland Software network. It is isolated from the main network, but you have your friends' computers connected right next to your. Please run virus/malware checks PRIOR to bringing your PC to the LAN.

2. Unshare all devices/files/folders PRIOR to bringing your PC to the LAN. I assume we're all mature adults, but if you share your drives someone may think it's funny to put something on there. Be safe, be smart, be mature.

3. Content: This is a Hyland sponsored event. Make sure any backgrounds, cursors, icons, etc. are work appropriate. This includes anything you may decide to watch/browse on your pc during downtime.

4. Language: Samuel L. Jackon quotes are fine at home, but this is a work event. Keep it appropriate for work.

5. Be curteous to other people's hardware. If it's not yours, don't touch it without permission. If an accident happens, and the owner isn't there, do the right thing and let them know.



Hardware Expectations:

1 PC

1 Monitor UNDER 32 inches. (There is limited desk space and weight to think about.)

Keyboard

Mouse

Headphones

6+ foot ethernet cable

1 Surge protector/power strip





Other Expectations

1. Clean up after yourself. Before you leave and throughout the day, check around you for anything that may have gotten on the floor, table, chair, or anywhere else. The cleaner you leave the area, the less work we have to do at tear down.

2. If you want to play game X, please be sure that before you attend you have downloaded, installed, updated, and configured the game. The less time you spend setting up your config, the more time you can spend enjoying the party.

5:00 pm - Combat Arms

9:00 pm - Tear Down/Cleanup

10:00 pm - "Doors Close"



This is by no means a final list of what all games will be played. If you look at the list of what we voted for, there are a lot of people interested in a lot of those games, they just may not be their #1 selection. If you want to play something else, speak up. I'm sure we can get a lot of people playing a wide variety of games. Feel free to try something new while you're at it!
