Historical Description: Hampton's Legion of South Carolina was one of the most famous units in the Confederate Army. It commander and founder, Col. Wade Hampton, 1818-1902, had no military experience at all but had natural ability that made him and outstanding leader and one of the best Confederate generals in the war. Hampton's Legion has six companies of infantry, four companies of cavalry and one battery of artillery. Hampton, a wealthy plantation owner, financed all of the weapons himself. The unit has some of the finest uniforms among all the early war volunteer. Hampton's Legion distinguished itself at the First Battle of Manassas. After the war Hamption became governor of South Carolina.

Our Regiment was founded in April, 2019, after the formation of Hood's Brigade. We are a group that mainly plays North & South events on the game "Mount & Blade: Warband." Originally the 13thLA, our main members boast of ex-8thVA members (mainly Company F) who had seceded due to the wrongs inflicted on them. Our regiment often proves strong on the battlefield, especially due to the skilled leadership of our Colonel, ze ,& our Brigadier General, Levy. Our future plans look at War of Rights &/or The Battle Cry of Freedom. We now search for new members to join our ranks, with our only demand being respect for the Officers of the Regiment. If you wish to join us, add one of the Admins/Officers of the group and discuss joining there.
