Spitfire & Heart (Spitfire Squadron)
This is the primary squadron of the regiment lead by myself, the leader of the squadron. The SAH is an -elite- group that deals with all nations but is primarily British.

Spitfire MKIa:
Designer: Reginald Mitchell, Supermarine.
Power: 1030 HP Merlin Rolls Royce Engine. 2 pitch 3 bladed propeller.
Speed: 362mph at 29,000 feet.
Ceiling: 31,900 feet.
Range: 415 miles.
Armament: 8 X 303. browning machine guns, 4 per wing.
Armour: bulletproof windscreen to the front, 38mm thick (can stop 20mm rounds), armour plating behind and infront of the pilot able to stop 30.calibre rounds which is often faced.

The Spitfire is separable from its Hurricane counterpart by its elliptical, thin wings with maximum area, to minimise drag and maximise airframe strength. The bubble canopy of the Spitfire gives it great all round view lacked in the Me109, and is fitted with bulletproof windscreen and armour plating between the pilot and the engine, and behind the pilot. The plane would become heavy at high speeds (especially in dives), reducing plane sensitivity at this stage making it extremely stable and easy to fly without destroying itself, it could almost be flown without touching the controls. Landing can be tricky and getting into a spin could prove worse for novice pilots.

This is the primary squadron of the regiment lead by myself, the leader of the squadron. The SAH is an -elite- group that deals with all nations but is primarily British. Remember that the Spitfire's primary role is a dogfighter, engaging enemy fighter aircraft firstly.

The Spitfire's fast speed, handling and climb rate as well as maneuverability provides it excellent dogfighting performance in many ways. Shortage of ammunition, and a thin wing cause it to be less effective against bombers but pilot protection does not make it impossible. The fighter's role is interceptor, meaning it will get up to altitude fast and engage enemy aircraft first. The Spitfire was also the quickest responding fighter available, making it the primary plane on the front of dover against sudden air attacks from Stukas.

The spitfire is also very effective as an escort fighter for short range operations. Escorting slower, more rigid Hurricane planes that engage enemy bombers first, and then assist with destroying enemy fighters, is a valid tactic and quite common.

This is a list of recommended lineups for SAH.

Order of Training
All (Air)
Measurement settings, throttle adjustment, indicators.
Change look around to `¬ (left of 1) button, binocs to C, open cockpit/bomb drop/cockpit lighting/misc to numlock, Secondary gun armament to space.
Standard procedure: Take-off (Engine off, 100% throttle, take-off flaps, ready, take-off), responses (Roger for information, Wilco for orders), avoiding shooting from behind an ally. Spawning on airfield
Formation: Place depending on squad position (1 front, 2 left, 3 right, 4 far left. 0.05-0.2M). Different formations: (Standard wedge, loose line, chevron) and usage.
Communication: Distances, clock direction, rough direction, low/high/ground/same alt, HDG (if it works in air battles), coordinates.
Recognition: Fighter, Bomber, specific.
Spitfire limits: Good turner, fast, fuel carburetor, 350mph max full turn speed, 450mph max speed, landing flaps/gear break over 150mph, outclimbed by messerscmitt, bad WEP fuel consumption & overheat.
Burst fire: 3/5/7/11/1second break.
Always land when damaged/low ammo/low fuel and safe to RTB
Waiting on the commander for what to bring.
Always wait to be told to RTTH before RTTH.
Watching all around and knowing when to change target.

Commanding (Air):
Leadership, courtesy, discipline, distinguishment.
Issuing orders, what's best to do in a situation. Deciding what to take
Knowing Tactics: Altitude, dogfights, evasive.
Timing.
Taking losses or conserving for victory.
Conserving losses, near game loss survival.

Lefttenants (Air)
Communicating team messages to squad leader.
Communicating squad leader messages to team.
Leading half a squad.
Leading in absence of the squad leader (minor command skills).

Heavy (Air):
Being a bomber.
Carpet bombing over precision bombing, pros and cons. More likely to hit something, more likely to kill large groups. Cannot pick out individual targets, takes a long time to drop. Useless as a fighter.
Keeping calm when attacked.
Bomber maneuvering.
Heavy Fighter roles: Bomber hunting. How "not" to die, and blowing the enemy up.
Sticking to the target.

Specialist (Air):
Scout role, scouting the air and scouting the ground.
Avoiding heavy combat.
Surprise attacks.
Stealth rounds practice.
Anti-tank guns.
Skip bombing.

All (Ground):
Standard procedure: Wait for the order to spawn in certain location, then following the leader in formation until given further orders.
Formation: Place depending on squad position (1 front, 2 left, 3 right, 4 far left. 0.05-0.2M). Different formations: (Standard column, wedge, line, loose line, chevron) and usage.
Communication: Distances (yard ranges), clock direction (based on hull position), rough direction, position terrain, HDG, coordinates. Facing based on hull.
Recognition: Light tank, medium tank, heavy tank, tank destroyer, SPAA, artillery.
Keeping calm under fire.
Always reverse when damaged/low ammo/ and safe to RTB
Waiting on the commander for what to bring.
Always wait to be told to RTTH before RTTH.
Watching all around and knowing when to change target.

Commanding (Ground):
Leadership, courtesy, discipline, distinguishment.
Issuing orders, what's best to do in a situation. Deciding what to take
Knowing Tactics, Ambush, Flank, Front.
Timing.
Taking losses or conserving for victory.
Conserving losses, near game loss survival.

Lefttenants (Ground):
Communicating team messages to squad leader.
Communicating squad leader messages to team.
Leading half a squad.
Leading in absence of the squad leader (minor command skills).

Heavy (Ground):
Being the hit taker/
Focusing on taking the hits more than dealing out damage.
Useless at flanking
Keeping calm when attacked.
Heavy tank/Tank Destroyer maneuvering.
Heavy roles: Paying attention to the enemy infront and trying to take the hits, to let the friendlies get the kill. Very rarely giving yourself away to save an ally as it is unpractical.

Specialist (Ground):
Scout role, taking cover and not exposing over attempting to get the kill.
SPAA support role (rather than just back-up).
Extended range guns (Mostly TD tanks), picking targets.
Flanking (mostly light tanks), picking targets and deciding when to avoid combat and when to engage.

We're going to go through some basics, add in a few things you need to know. This will probably take an hour to teach, and we'll do it a few times to get it right. Training will be held regularly every week, and I'll teach the squad leaders how to do it as well.

Just make sure you get on Discord often.

Newest point - If you want additional combat training because you don't know how to fight your most common enemies, see your squad leader.
