Casual Reunion

Hello all,
It's been 2 years since the founding of the Gamers in Black Jailbreak server. Since then, we've had our rough patches. However, now is the chance to come back together and celebrate what we had with a number of rounds on the old gamemmode to let the nostalgia flow.
For the following 3 or so weeks, I will be hosting a private server on my VDS that will be open via password access a few days a week. I'll post on the group below the IP and code for when it's time to join. If there is enough interest, I can imagine it would be rather fun.

Hi all, I've just posted this to the old group. Here's a copy.

For the past week, a group of volunteers have been helping set up the old Jailbreak gamemode by testing it almost every single day. Today, I'd like to share this with you (and the general public) for a month long trial run of Gamers in Black as an established Jailbreak game server.

As some of you are aware, I closed the old server when I no longer had time to maintain or commit to the community due to a large external project I was working on with a partner. I have since successfully moved on and have a lot of spare time. Time which can be dedicated to attempting to re-raise the community -- correctly this time.

After the about a month from today, I will reassess the state of the server and see whether it would be purposeful to continue on.

To mark this occasion, I have reconstructed the website, complete with an online scoreboard that tracks guard and prisoner kills, as well as time spent in-game. You can check it out at:

GamersinBlack.com There will be still be frequent updates which will be published on alternating days. Details about the updates will be available on the forums when they are open. I expect the server to be up and running by 3:00pm CT and I hope to see some of you then. Unlike last time, I'll aim to keep group announcements and/or events to a minimum.
