The old Friends of WOBRE - Team Fortress 2

Memorial site of the TF2 WOBRE servers which ran between 26.8.2011 and 31.12.2019.

We ran
Classic Valve game mode server (Mix of CP,PL,Koth and MvM), Slender Fortress, Freak Fortress, Deathrun, Stop That Tank, Fort Wars, Wario Ware, Zombie Fortress, Mechanized Mod, Tradeserver, X10 and our own mini mod WOBRE vs. Machines.

We had
INGAME MOD Systen (!myi): to mod your TF2 game ingame.
WOBRE CONTRACTS (!myc): Fullfill contracts and receive REAL TF2 items
WOBRE COLLECTIONS: Collect WOBRE cosmetics to unlock rare goodies.
ADMIN Call: Call Admins/Mods to solve problems on the server.
PLAYER Call: Call fans of a specifc server/gamemode to join your game.
WEATHER EFFECTS: A randomized weather system for the maps with dynamic lighting effects!
CUSTOM BOTS: Support not only for a few official ones but also for custom maps/gamemodes with handcrafted navmeshes. These bots can react to you and the environment. They also can wear and use most of the hats/weapons available.
VERY CUSTOM RTD: Roll The Dice gameplay mod with over 100 different rolls (90% was just Pure Nostalgia ;).

Hi WoBros and Sistas!

First thank you all for showing up yesterday! Seeing the servers filled up for a last time was worth the drought in the past two years. So again and again, thanks you for showing up even if it was just for a couple of rounds!

We recorded parts of the events (mostly #1 and #4) and I will release a compilation of it here for those who missed it and for those like myself looking back on it sometime from now.

Today is the last time to exchange your gold into TF2 items! I also lift the 5 items per day limitation. So get the stuff while you can for the very last time!

Last time "Catch That Gift!" on #1#2#3 (min. 5 players requiered).

The last days of WOBRE (Monday / Tuesday Preview)

Hi WoBros and Sistas!

The last two days of WOBRE are upon us. We celebrate together with current and old staff. I also refill the Gold store with some items for the last run on Monday!

Also two days of "Catch That Gift (Special Edition)" with special edition drops:
* Random Gold Gifts (common)
* Random TF2 Item (uncommon)
* ED-E Gifts (rare - max. 8)

Monday 30.12 - Lets play together one more time!

Whenever you have time, join our events and lets roam WOBRE for the last time! On monday every two hours from 14:00 on forward, we will have an event on different servers which the last will be at 20:00 on WOBRE#1.

My mom was the same, i went out for a bottle of water while playing, saw her doing something in her room, went out 5 minute later and she was already gone. Its really hard when you dont expect it

So while I'm not afraid of death and leave this plane of existance behind me, I'm very much afraid of the torture which is (slowly) dying. The last six months of my father weren't pretty and his last hours where painful to witness. The death of my mother was the opposite, after a walk in the park she didn't feel well, so they headed back home, she lied down and ask for a hot water bottle for her feet. My father prepared that in the kitchen and when he came back she was already dead.

Yeah maybe, but in the end this will be rich people tech. If it was readily available for everyone, there has to be a political and social reconstructions of socierty before because current systems would collapse. So, speaking only for me, I'm fine to not become very old and see everyone around me die first. While I'm not religous I have a feeling there is more after this and if not, it won't matter then anyway.
