XXXTentacion - Jahseh D.was born January 23, 1998 in Plantation, Florida and grew up in Pompano Beach, Florida and Lauderhill, Florida. He is of Colombian and Jamaican descent. In the interview, Onfroy claims to have had a rough upbringing. According to him, his mother 'wanted custody of him and to be there throughout [his] life, but could not afford it, so she would put [him] in the hands of someone she trusted to take care of him.' However, his mother would often ignore and neglect him, and Onfroy claims he would get into fights and get in trouble at school just to get his mother to talk to him, and give him attention. Although he does have a tumultuous relationship with his mother, Onfroy still remains very protective of her, and claims that when he was six years old, a man tried to attack his mother, and the then-young Onfroy, attempted to bite a chunk of the man's flesh out from his leg and stab him in retaliation. Onfroy never graduated high school or attained his GED.
