Payday 2 modding without the bureaucracy

The Independent Payday Modding Community is the only group that stands up for the rights of Payday 2 mod makers.

For a long time, Overkill and their forum moderators have held a very tight grip over what mods are allowed, and oftentimes contradict themselves. One moderator once claimed that mods that make the game easier are not allowed when justifying the removal of the crosshair mod, while Overkill has explicitly condoned the popular HoxHud, which gives players numerous utilities and lots of information normally not accessible (or easily determined).

Because of Overkill's strict rules that prevent modders from being able to be creative without worrying that their mods will be taken down, the Independent Payday Modding Community is here to provide an open-minded, freer place for modders to share their work and mod users to access it.

Please note that we are NOT a cheating froup. This group does not in any way condone mods that are blatant cheats, such as trainers, bag spawners, instant kill scripts, flying, godmode, and other such things. Our purpose here is to enhance and improve upon the mechanics of Payday 2, not to destroy and circumvent them.
