FinalBattleGround !

The latest Clan Match functionality should be of interest for any clan that like's to play clan matches, be it on a popular Ladders such as CEVO, Enemy Down, TWL or Clan Base, an organised LAN tournament match or just a good old fashioned "friendly". This new functionality gives clans the opportunity to play a clan match and officially wager Plinks against those matches with Final Battleground mediating the escrow!

You can find this functionality in the Clan Pages under the "Matches" Tab. We've also added a range of additional settings around Clan Match Challenges (ie. who is authorised to issue them and who is authorise to accept them etc) for Clan Leaders and Commanders to stop any compulsive gamblers in your clan from going crazy with the Plinks :P

The Clan Charts now have a whole list of new Clan Charts associated to Match progress - so get ready to start building a truly international reputation as we approach nearly 8000 Hardcore CS players, now is your chance to truly shine amongst your peers... unless of course, you are the top where you truly have no peers ;-)

It's taken us longer than we had originally expected to release this functionality and the secondary testing took us a good while too but we ultimately think this was worth it...

Also, we would be absolutely honoured to be invited as spectators or referee's for the very first Clan Match that wages over 1 million Plinks - earned from literally thousands of man hours performed by a large group of contributing members, you are truly representing your clan like never before (it just oozes intensity - and we love it!).

Our next development is going to be key: In addition to the performance optimizations to the battles and the FBG Server plug-in, we're working on an FBG Supporters upgrade for which we have been building the components. Without giving too much away, we have a range of unique value added features, benefits and functionality for our Supporters and we think you'll like it!

Don't worry, The Final Battleground experience will continue to remain free for Servers and Players as always, but the Supporters model is specifically designed to offer a more rewarding and enhanced experience. We'll keep you updated on our progress here.

It's also worth noting that the success of the FBG Supporters system will absolutely determine how quickly we can build powerful new functionality for Final Battleground. This project has cost us a significant amount of time and money and we would be delighted if (with your support) we were able to sustain and possibly even extend our little team. One thing is for sure... we can't do it without you! We've grown much faster than we ever could have anticipated and as we approach the 10,000 members mark - you would be horrified by the amount of man hours we've been putting into this. Map requests, new servers, user setup assistance queries and numerous communications from CS:S communities from all over the world has had us working ourselves day and night into a state of near zombification.
