Gaming, being a lady, and over-philosophizing, but in a happy way.

After a ton of over philosophizing pompousness trying to write a description.. I think its just meant to be a reminder that there's plenty to be happy about when you're gaming and being a lady. If you like gaming and being a lady and over philosophizing too, then maybe you want to talk about games in here.

What I was going to write before I distilled it to the above:
Its not that we are seperated from male gamers by an insurmountable gulf of difference; but its also not that the experience doesn't have ever so slightly different tendancies. Its not that we do, can, or should speak with the same voice. I started using #FemmeGamer awhile back to categorize things that are gaming related, created by ladies, or for ladies, or simply not for a stereotypical target audience of "that guy" on the internet. I started collecting things on Pinterest ( http://www.pinterest.com/rikaconfesses/femmegamer/ ) mostly because sometimes I want to feed my girlie side and my game consumer beast at the same time, and I don't think female interest content should be limited to topics of harrassment and discrimination. I thought maybe there were a handful of people in the world who want to maybe curate some Steam games to that end.

So in general.. Do you want to be nice, play games, and currate things we feel positively about even if its not strictly for female specific reasons that you feel that way?
