The Village Confederation of Epirus

The Kingdom of Epirus is ruled by the Aeakides Dynasty. Epirus is a conglomerate of 3 Greek speaking tribes. These tribes were the Thesprotians, Molossians and the Chaonians. Unlike the Greek states to the south majority of our poplualtion live agricultural, mining and fishing villages. With the Pindus mountains to the east they give us protection and a large amount of tin, copper and iron to produce armour and weapons for our army. And the plains to the west give us plenty of farms to maintain our population. Eprius's population is a mix of Illyrian and Greek blood. We fight in the Makedonian style and live as civilized Hellenic people. Anyone who challanges Epirus will have to deal with rough terrain and a hardy people.

Need more active people!!!

We need people to be more active in order for us to properly role-play. There is still many positions open for grabs, see which one you'd like to occupy and msg either Lord Hamilton or one of the tribal chiefs. We don't require you to be online and doing something everyday; just pop in once in a while, join group chat or discussion, participate in events and comment on announcements and such.
Plus we might even role-play another group if we're active enough.

Current State of Affairs

For the past 50 years Epirus has remained a mostly neutral kingdom, focusing on its own people and economy. But with the rise of a new King, myself, we will put our nation to where we are respected, feared and where we can exert our power over anyone we wish.

Currently our main army is composed of hard trained pikemen, hoplites, cavalry, elite mercenary Creten archers and from a gift of Seleucus, 20 towered asian war elephants that will distroy any infantry in a charge.

Our first act of glorius conquest will take place on the Island of Corfu. It is currently controled by Illyrian pirate bands that will be removed with an amphibious landing.

OOC: Roleplaying has begin and everyone that is in a postion need to be active by doing their job so I expect annoucments relating to their jobs soon or you will be removed.
