Steam group for the Eldoris PvP Server

Hello everyone. I am sure most of you have moved on from ark over the past 8 months but I have decided to get back into ark.

First of a little explination about where we went wrong 8 months ago. I wanted a server with little admin interference. A server where the players settled their differences and where, in general, we could all come to play, have fun, and raid.

Unfortunately there are people who join PvP servers that do not like to be raided and in an effort to be the best admin that I could I tried to make everyone happy. That plan backfired and I made some people mad and made some people think that I showed favoritism.

Aside from that I went out of town for a month for work. I thought I would have access to internet while I was away to manage the server and keep it up to date. That was bad planning on my part and I let the server go a while without updating which in turn killed the server off.

That being said I have decided to bring Eldoris back. I have a dedicated machine that will run 4 clusters of Ark. Each cluster will hold about 60-80 players and 2 will be scorched earth. What are clusters? They are sperate servers connected to the same Central hub. Meaning you can move freely between servers with your playr's, any gear, and any dinosair that you wish. You can build bases across all 4 servers and raid across all 4 and dominate across all 4 if you wish.

There will be some tweaks though. Some SE dinos are OP. We will address this. We will have ORP mod. But it will be set relatively low. Meaning you can still be raided offline but someone will have to REALLY hate you to do it.

Lastly, While I will be paying for the server and playing on the server I will not be the Lead admin. I am paying someone outside that plays the game but not our server to handle anything that might need an admin in game.

Myself along with 3 other moderators will update the lead admin as needed and he will watch over us as needed. He will mostly stay silent and not deal with many issues as like I said I want this to be a server that governs itsself without the interference of admins.

I have played a few servers where the admins are too active and ban happy and ban anyone for anything. We will not be like that. If someone on the server is raiding and destroying everyone we will need to come together as a server to get rid of them. I want to build a community but more importantly a home for ark players where they can come relax in their offtime.


I will post more details in the next coming days but what you have to look foward to is 2 Island Servers, a Center Server, and a Scortched Earth Server all in cluster so you all can move freely between the 4 and do as you please.

I hope to see a lot of old faces and hopefully a lot of new faces as well.
