EΨE.ЦS Good Hunting!

So this is for everyone who wants to set up a game and can't stand waiting for the few of us that know how to do it. I suggest having a small amount of computer techy skills, but I'm sure anyone smarter than the average rock (which ironically is how my computer professor refered to the intelligence of a computer) can figure it out by following this guide. If you have any questions don't be shy, I'll be happy to answer all your questions the best I can and solve any problems you have. This is the kinda stuff I like doing :)

~~You will be using this site throughout the entire tutorial. For those who are concerned, it does look a little sketch, and the program you will need to download looks a little sketch as well, but I use it all the time and have so far not run into any problems with it. But don't blame me if a problem does occur. Use this stuff with the knowledge that you are making the choice, I'm not forcing you. If you aren't comfortable, do some old fashioned research. No matter how bad I will feel if something does go wrong I WILL NOT take any responsibility for ANY harm caused by this guide. Once again, use at your own discretion.~~

Okay, now to begin. The first thing you must do is go to your bible (the site above for those who take that too literally). Now if you scroll down you see long lists of stuff. These are a collection of known routers and different versions of them. You are going to want to find your router and then click on it. The site itself also explains what you need to do quite clearly, but I suggest you continue to read mine for some very specific things.

Once you find your router and select it, the next step would be to find a program in the list below to port forward, but unfortunately E.Y.E. is not on there, so just choose any game on the list for reference. Follow the guide, but you will want to make some adjustments based on our game. First and foremost, the name. Now read through the guide once to get a good idea what you will be doing because you want to know what you are headed into before you make adjustments. Now that you kindof have some sense of what to do I will give you the correct ports to forward, here we go:

(I will give you all the ports that I have forwarded, a combination of what the E.Y.E. site tells us to, and some ports that I was told to forward, but they are probably not all necessary.)
TCP 27015
UDP 1200
UDP 27000-27050
TCP 4380
UDP 4380
TCP 27000-27050

Alright, now if you did all that right you are half way there! Remember if you have any questions feel free to ask. Okay, final step...

Go here: http://portforward.com/help/setup_static_ip_address.htm
and click on this orange link: "PF Setup Static IP Address"
download the program, install, and follow the site's guide the rest of the way. If you have completed all this then you are ready to create a E.Y.E. multiplayer game!!! :)

One last thing. There seems to be a problem of "server not responding" messages when you try to connect to people's games through steam's "join game" thing. You MUST go in-game and find the server on the server list and join from there. This is some sort of bug, but it will hopefully be fixed in the future.

When creating your game make sure you turn the LAN option to NO. Very important if you are playing over the internet.
