Chapter 1: A Stranger

It was a cool, misty morning in Whiterun only the earliest birds had awakened. The streets were quiet as ever when a stranger arrived in town. He was a scruffy looking fellow, with dried blood stains on his Saber Cat clothing. With a bow on his back Mjool could only guess he was a hunter. The hunter approached Mjool and said:
“Excuse me guardsman do you know the best place to sell furs?”
“Well a good place would be over at Athors stall in the market, but I think it’s closed.” Replied Mjool. “Its still quite early you know” he continued.
“Yes, yes I know I just have to get these meats and furs into salt before they all rot.” Said the hunter.
“Yes I understand, I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took and arrow to the knee.” Replied Mjool.
“Ha! An arrow the knee and you gave up adventuring” scoffed the hunter. “I’ve taken a few arrows but that doesn’t mean I’ll give up hunting” He finished.
“Ah….. but that is were you are wrong hunter” said Mjool. “This is no ordinary hit from an arrow this is an arrow to the KNEE.” “Since it is still so early, let me tell you about my adventuring days and that one fateful day.”
Mjool cleared his throat and reminisced on his years before joining the Whiterun Guard, before the war, before the arrow.


Chapter 2: Early Days

Mjool was a Nord who grew up on a lumber mill on the southern edge of Lake Ilinalta. His parents were never really never had money their lumber mill never really got a lot of business either. As a young boy Mjool loved to explore the woods around the mill, he longed to leave his family and go explore. His parents did not take kindly for his longing of adventure. They told him that it was best if he inherited the mill and made lumber for a living, but all they did was encourage him to leave the mill even more. So when Mjool was 16 he hitched a ride on a lumber carriage and left home. He traveled north stopping at Rorikstead, of course then the village was just starting to get built. So he continued his travels going to the far east to Markarth, were he stayed a few years as a goat herder. When Mjool finally decided to leave Markarth he had saved up enough money to buy a horse and some equipment. Now at 20 he felt he had life set on a silver platter until……. The war.
