Role Descriptions:

In-Game Leader / Strat Caller:

The In-Game Leader, or IGL for short, is arguably the most important role in a team, and requires the most skill. His job is to make sure the team runs smoothly, give strats, and give orders to the other roles. This role is at the top of the food-chain, which means the other roles must listen to him if at all possible. The role requires a massive amount of game sense, common sense, leadership skills and above all else, experience. The other roles must listen to him and do what he says. He knows what he is doing. Follow the IGL and do everything he says and the team should run smoothly. Trust the IGL's judgement!

AWPer / Sniper:

The Sniper is a pretty self explanatory role. The man on this role has spent a lot of time using AWPs and scouts, and is very accurate, with fast reaction times. His job is to hang back and pick off enemies for the team. Usually the Sniper is also very good at mid-picking. If the Sniper does his job right then he can almost always get a mid-pick. Any role who picks up an AWP or scout should pass it to the team Sniper unless the IGL says otherwise.

Support:

The Support role is the most common and simple role on a team. These players are all-around accurate marksmen, who stick with SMGs and rifles. They are the backbone of the team, as well as the most basic attack force. These men need to be skilled with tactical grenades and smokes, as well as an all-around basic understanding of almost any gun. These are the most versatile roles who are good at anything they are told to do.

Entry Fragger:
The Entry Fragger is very similar to the Support. It sticks with the IGL usually and is part of the basic attack force. The Entry Fragger is always the first to enter the site. He uses quick hand to eye coordination and reaction time to evaluate the enemies positions and get the first kills of the round. (Excluding mid-picks.) He uses headshots to kill all the enemy players on the site as soon as possible so the team can come in, plant, and hold the site.

Lurker:

This is the last role of the basic team. The lurker is good at stealth, and knows how to hide well. The Lurker usually splits off from the team and goes to mid or the opposite site, and waits for rotate frags. If the Lurker does his job right, then there will be few enemies alive after trying to rotate. He also specializes in flanking and ambushing the enemy.
