Stormtrooper Detachment Omega - 427th Legion, Imperial Stormtrooper Corps

Stormtrooper Detachment Omega was formed on March 15th, 2004 on the Kettemoor server. We are one of only a couple serving Imperial guilds from that era, and the only stormtrooper guild to survive the test of time.

SD-O also allows all professions to join and serve in specific areas, but members must be either human or zabrak. All ranged combat professions serve in one of our stormtrooper units. Crafters & entertainers serve as full-time pilots and form the backbone of our space unit, the 187th Tactical Wing “Harbingers of Death”. Within the last couple years we have allowed a small group of select dark jedi to join our ranks and serve as Imperial Inquisitors. This has allowed us to be 100% self sufficient, and has opened up more role play possibilities.

SD-O is a RP guild. We role play on the ground and in space. We also believe in giving every player, regardless of their skill level an opportunity to prove themselves in our ranks. Most succeed and become both better role players than they were before they joined us. A few fall by the wayside and do not complete training, or are found lacking in their Imperial devotion. A select few have even gone on to form and lead great guilds of their own. SD-O is also a very community oriented guild. We believe in a strong, unified Empire, and in extending a hand across the aisle to work with our enemies to create a better GCW experience and a better overall server community. We try to support any community events that are scheduled and once a month we host a major server-wide campaign designed to incorporate role play.

Because we are active in RP, we have incorporated a tiered training system designed to encourage members to master their chosen profession while learning to be better Imperial role players. More information will be provided on our training doctrine upon enlistment. We also have a policy of promoting based on performance and the needs of the guild. Each detachment within the guild typically has a junior officer, one or two NCOs, and five to ten troopers of Lance Corporal rank or below.

When “on duty” SD-O members strive for the pinnacle of perfection & professionalism as member of the Imperial Military. When “off duty” they are encouraged to pursue their own story lines, do quests, help their fellow members level, or whatever else strikes their fancy. Since we require a higher degree of self control when “on duty”, guild chat is kept loose and OOC, tells and group chat are IC or OOC dependent upon the situation. If a member is seen or reported to be involved in conduct which is in violation of our Code of Conduct, they are dealt with swiftly. If it is a minor offense, they usually receive a reprimand and are council ed on what they did wrong. More serious offenses, or repeat offenses can result in demotion and even dismissal from the Corp.
