So, a considerable number of people (including myself) are using PickaMine to fly around the map for building purposes.

This is a very useful tool, but is highly unfair, as the client also comes with a multitude of hacks which could allow a player to make incredible amounts of money. I know all of you mean well, but temptation is present and strong for even the most loyal players. I myself have done so, but will be discarding the money when I next play as a show of good faith.

I originally thought that this wouldn't be a problem on the freebuild server, and people would respect the rules on the RP World - however, I forgot that the iConomy means the money carries over. So, this makes the RP World unfair.


I would like to ask the owners to consider installing a fly-mod serverside (if one is available) and giving access to regulars and above.

I may consider contacting "systat", the creator of PickaMiner and asking him to make a revision of it that only allows flight-based powers, and then requesting that our players switch to this client for fairness sake.

I believe it has been made very clear by several sources that anyone cought hacking in the RP World when it starts, trusted or not, will be severely punished.

Moreover, it may be prudent to have seperate wallets for each world, if possible. Because, lets face it, an RP world where everyone is roleplaying a multi-millionaire miner is going to be boring as hell. Seperate wallets, less money available, (I am aware that /shop is likely to be disabled for the RP World).

This will hopefully encourage people to actually roleplay characters, and builders. Rather than just buying out massive supplies of cobble, stone and wood for builds, all these resources should be naturally gathered, which has potential for roleplaying logging-camp owners, quarry owners etc etc.

In short, freebuild should be kept freebuild, but an interactive world.
RP should be much more restricted, and I'd like you to discuss amongst yourselves some ideas for logical and rp-ly restrictions that could be applied to the RP world so we have a nice, fresh world that doesn't have normal players making castles that touch the sky in 30 minutes flat.
