(2019 client) Team Fortress 2 is unable to download
Tried multiple times using a 2019 version of the client on a Win7 VM, keep getting this error message (numbers change but error is the same)

An error occured while updating Team Fortress 2 (manifest unavailable) cache4-ord1.steamcontent.com See the Steam support site for more information

Is it possible that Steam has just changed its updating scheme too much for 2019 Steam to function? If so, I guess I have to use SteamEMU.

What about other games? What is your host system; what warrants you to use a Windows 7 VM?

I haven't yet tried other games because the webUI stuff doesn't work(this version doesn't have the library update so that works fine) and I need to access it from chrome. My host is a perfectly healthy Windows 10; I just wanted to take a trip down memory lane :)

This is on an alt btw, what F2P games should I try? Highly doubt this is bannable but I don't want my main to get mixed up in it just in case.

The 2019 version is completely outdated in regards to being able to discover download sources, and even keeping track of downloaded games. You can't use it any more unless you want to launch games you downloaded prior, and even then, you need to use a hacky utility to even get to log in:

I've tryed cs2 one month ago and it worked but it seems i wasn't able able to join a mp game - april release :
it was possible to enter lobby but as soon as the game launched to enter the map, i get fired because of my level so no clue but till there it worked as i could do some party with bots.
