Army of the Potomac, IX Corps, 1st Division, 1st Brigade

Christ's Brigade is a Union 'grand brigade' which has brought infantry, cavalry, artillery, and other specialized units together under one centralized, simple, and free command. The Brigade is led by the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Thomas J. Parker. Various companies are organized into battalions. Each battalion has its own commander. This allows for companies from many regiments to work together, rather than having to go through the time consuming process of recruiting a whole regiment.

The Brigade uses this flexibility to mix infantry with the support it needs. Cavalry acts as a screening and support unit. Artillery provides the necessary heavy fire to keep large bodies of enemy infantry at a distance. Sharpshooters are used to skirmish in front of the Brigade and to kill the enemy chain of command. This is a unique feature of Christ's Brigade that we pride ourselves on. We are able to field all of the necessary support, without being a massive and cumbersome unit.
