But with that you make it sound like the war was fought over slavery. Slavery had nothing to do with it until 1863. It should say 11 southern states.

Just to let you know not all 11 states suceded when Lincoln became president, it was only after he called for troops that Virginia, Tennesse, Missouri, and 1 or 2 others declared sucession
