To make it run, I cleared off one of the existing scripts for a level, written the new definition for level in script ( for example #POSITION SNAPSHOT ) and put some characters in level that I'll be free to control them.
if you want to try out yourself, you can substitute everything in SCRIPTS/missions/01_tutorial with this script:

Be sure to backup your original tutorial script somewhere else outside scripts folder.
Then in game, you can start the first mission, which should be named "BREED". The level should start in one of the unused missions.
But how did you find that mission?
And how did you make it run?

The biggest of them is the Starforce protection on it.
The Xplosiv edition does not have the Starforce protection on it.
It runs well on Windows 10.
That is why I recomment the Xplosiv edition.
But I also remember my elder brother said that he burned the BREED Iso to CD in some way that it worked with Starforce. Too bad my pc doesn't have cd - dvd reader anymore
It also really depends if the game edition is either CDV edition or Xplosiv edition (and either v1.0 or v1.1). Game refuses to join on any mismatch. I'll have to look up the whole internet to find working editions.
I've been also working only with BREED Demo because it's small in filesize, doesn't put out CD-Key warnings (problem since windows' UAC) and can alt-tab while fullscreen.

There is the xplosiv BREED edition which is actually the 1.017 game version.
This game here was the first ever serious game i played.
When my family got a PC first game on it was just billard. But then next day, my dad brought home a single CD-R disc, which was labeled with an ordinary black marker written word "BREED".
And not only this game was awesome for me, it is intriguing right now. I mean, how you can't just go and find it easily, you must dig it up...
