Making shoes/any clothes
Would someone kindly explain what you need to do in order to make a clothes item? Do you need to make individual pieces and then attach them to their respective bone? Are there any extra steps? Is it just like making a hat but with multiple parts?

no, when you make a jacket for example, you do it like if it was a normal hat, but the difference is that with a hat normally you apply all the vertices to one bone (bip_head)

For a jacket, you have to assign each group of vertices to their bone so it moves along with the body
