Easiest way to make mods?
I've done a couple weapons and miscs and relased them as a mod by compiling them manually with the ingame file name. Is there any way that would make the progress of making replacement options easier?

Not that I know of. Manually compiling isn't too complicated, though. What part is taking you the longest? Writing the QC file? Organizing everything? I might be able to give some better advice if I know your workflow.
The part that takes the longest time for me is the QC. It takes a long time to go over a QC replacing all the file names. If there would be a technique to replace every file name simultaniously it would make the process much faster.
Well if you're using notepad++ there is the find/replace feature. You can just replace all instances of a string with another string.
