EU4 Multiplayer Rules

Abuse:
-"Country Wrecking", gifting before leaving, or rage quitting will not be tolerated.
-Abuse of the game mechanics to circumvent any rules will not be tolerated.
-Abusing loopholes in the rules that goes against their intended purpose will not be tolerated.
-Intervening in a war as a Great Power is only allowed if you actually intend to fight alongside the side you are joining.
-Cheat/hacking/exploiting will not be tolerated.

Alliances:
-A player may only be allied to one Great Power.
-A player may only be allied to a maximum of two other players.
-The top 5 great powers on the list may not ally each other until 1600.
-Christian nations may not ally non-christian nations until 1600 (Ethiopia is not subject to this rule).
-Guarantee of Independence on a player by a player counts as a player alliance for both nations.

Great Powers:
-If Castile or Aragon has a PU over the other they are considered a de facto great power until 1600.
-If Denmark has a PU over Sweden and Norway they are considered a de facto great power until 1600.
-If Austria is the Holy Roman Emperor they are considered a de facto great power.
-If the Holy Roman Emperor has over 150 development they are considered a de facto great power.
-All de facto great power status is subject to in-game cancellation by the game host due to extreme circumstances. For example: Denmark has a PU over Sweden and Norway in 1550 but both Sweden and Norway are OPMs.

Playable Countries:
-A player may not play as the vassal of another nation, this does not include colonial nations.
-Players that are a colonial nation belonging to another player count as a player ally with regards to alliance limits.
-There is a limit of 3 players playing Italian nations.
-There is a limit of 5 players playing HRE nations, not including Austria, Brandenburg and Holland.
-The following countries may not be played by players:

Hungary
Burgundy
Aragon
Novgorod
Lithuania
Bohemia
