Welcome to Berk

Hello everyone! We are happy to announce we have some great news regarding the future of Berk!

As you are all no doubt aware, we've been with Survival Servers since Berk began, and as the server has grown and we continue to get popular, we have been experiencing a proportional increase in lag and performance issues.

We are excited to announce that Leptoon has generously offered the use of his own private hosting for Berk! There are numerous advantages we're looking forward to, including what (we hope) should be a huge performance increase including better ping, less lag and rubberbanding, and a more stable hosting platform for the server.

Some of you may have already heard rumors of this, but we wanted to run a number of tests first to make sure this was possible before getting your hopes up, and everything has so far been looking optimistic!

Most excitingly, we will now be free from a number of limitations native to Survival Servers. The biggest change will the NEW inclusion of the Center map to our cluster, which will be live immediately when the server switches hosts!

The change of hosting is tentatively scheduled for 5:00amEST/4:00amCST/2:00amPST 2nd December 2016.

So what does this mean for you? When the clock strikes, the server will go down to allow us to copy the maps and player data, so there should be NO loss of game progress. We will then announce when it's back up with the new host. Your old connection information will no longer work, so you need to manually reconnect using the following IPs:

72.177.182.173:27015 - The Island
72.177.182.173:27017 - Scorched Earth
72.177.182.173:27019 - The Center

Do not hesitate to ask if you need assistance with reconnecting after this transition, and we will do our best to answer any concerns you may have before the change of hosts.
