(1.) Start up DayZ.
Click on Configure Tab.
Click on the Video Tab.
Ignore the *Overall Quatily* tab
If your Monitor/Gaming Laptop doesnt have more than 60hz Disable VSync.

Click on (User Interface) Tab.
- Set resolution to whatever your monitor is capible on doing.
- Size, Large or Normal.
-Aspect Ratio, 4:3 - Normal or 16:9 Wide. Whatever looks best.
- After that close and click *Rendering Resolution*. Put that to 100%.

*Click on the *Quality Tab*
-Objects, Normal or High
-Terrain, Normal
-Clouds, Normal, Or Disabled.
-Shadows, Normal, Or Disabled. Disable them they sometimes hide players.
*Close*

*Now click the (Textures Tab)*
-Video Memory, Auto. Auto helps it use whatever is avalable in your GPU.
- Texture Detail, Normal. normal and high look the same.
- Texture Filtering, Normal
*Close*

*Click on the (Rendering Tab)*
-Antialiasing, Normal/High
-Alpha to Coverage, All Trees and Grass
-Edge Smoothing, Keep to disabled it looks best.
-HDR Quality, Very Low.
-Ambient Occlusion, Enabled
-Postprocess Quality, Disabled
-Bloom (0%)
-Rotation Blur (0%)
*Close*

Click on Documents.
You should see a folder in there that says " DayZ ". Open it.
There is a file in there that says "DayZ" and to the right of it, it says it's a "CFG File". open it with Notepad.

Change
GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;
GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;
Then file, save.

Go back to the DayZ Folder .
And you should see your DayZ user name.DAYZPROFILE
open in notepad.

shadowZDistance=150;
viewDistance=2500;
preferredObjectViewDistance=1800;

File, Save.


Set Launch Options, in the General Tab.

• -nosplash – removes the Bohemia Interactive splash page, letting you get into the game faster.
•-skipintro - skips the intro, getting you into the game faster.
•-noPause – keeps the game running while minimized or not focused.
•-world=*empty – disables the map from loading on launch, meaning you get into the game launcher quicker, but loading the game will take longer.
•-cpuCount=8 – set this to how many cores your CPU has. Most systems are either 2 (dual-core), 4 (quad-core), or 8 (octa-core).
•-maxMem =8192 – set this to the total amount of RAM your system has, 2048 for 2GB, 4096 for 4GB, 8192 for 8GB.
•-window - launches the game in windowed mode, if that’s something you’re looking for.
• -noborder - launches the game in border-less windowed mode.
•-exThreads=7 - set this to 0,1,3 or 7 – this is the amount of threads your CPU uses. Defaults to 3 for dual-core, or 7 for quad-core.

Feel free to copy and paste the below launch options into the box, but importantly make sure you change ‘cpuCount=4‘ and ‘maxMem=8192‘ to reflect your own system!

Remember,

cpuCount – 2 (dual-core), 4 (quad-core), or 8 (octa-core).

maxMem - 2048 for 2GB, 4096 for 4GB, 8192 for 8GB.

So your launch options within the box should look something like this: -cpuCount=4 -maxMem=8192 -skipintro -nosplash -nosplash -noPause

If you guys dont know where to find how much Cores/exThreads you have download and install this {LINK REMOVED}
under the CPU tab you'll see your cores and threads in the bottom right hand corner!
