Avatar was a huge success in the theaters, and seems to be on its way to repeat the success in our homes. In three days it sold 6.7 million copies; on blu-ray and DVD - according to Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. This makes it the most successful four day home entertainment opening in history.



Also.. there are plans for a sequel. This movie will be set in the underwater regions of planet Pandora. James Cameron tells this to LA Times, and then says that what made the first movie mindblowing will still exist - but just in a different environment (underwater rather than a rainforest). There will, however, also still be portions of the environments seen in the first movie in this movie.
