Welcome to the world of the Mako Champions.

What is this group?
Mako Champions is an RP group set in a carefully crafted universe of our own design, over two years in the making, created by individuals with upwards of seven years of quality writing and roleplaying experience. Mako Champions was founded in late December of 2013, when several members of the "parent group" Ohana AdventureZ decided that they wished to reboot the OAZ universe. They knew however that not everyone would agree with the reboot, due in large part to the more strict rules they wanted to implement and the drastic overhaul of the world in which the roleplay took place, so it was decided to create another group for this reboot--The Mako Champions. The intention was never to replace OAZ, but rather, to exist beside it--to exist with it. Since then, the OAZ has disbanded entirely, however after its full dismantling, a sequel to OAZ of sorts was formed--the Violet League. Together with our sister group VL, MC continues to carry on the legacy of the long-running OAZ.

So what're the rules of the RP?
You can find our rules on our wiki! It's strongly recommended that every member of the group read these rules, but most of them are pretty much common sense.

When does the 'Mako Champions' take place?
The main RP takes place roughly 900-1,000 years after an unknown cataclysmic event that nearly ended all life on Earth sometime during or after the 22nd century(It is unknown exactly when the apocalypse occurred in the MC universe, and we'd like to keep it that way). However, our sidestories, affectionately deemed "Mako Gaiden", can take place during almost any era.

Where does the name 'Mako Champions' even come from?
Well, 'Mako' came first. All of the main characters(So far anyway) have been adept Mako manipulators, and so therefore we named the Roleplay 'Mako Champions'!
-As an interesting anecdote, the name 'Mako' actually comes from the late great Mako Iwamatsu, beloved actor and voice artist. May he rest in peace.

So what exactly is 'Mako'?
As the name may have suggested, Mako is such an omnipresent and important concept in MC that it has its own wiki page--which happens to be one of the largest on our wiki. I suggest you go read that, but I guess "It's Mana" will do. :)

So how can I join?
The Mako Champions' joining process is currently undergoing reform. Please PM the group's current leader and owner here on Steam if you are interested in joining.
Currently the Mako Champions has a very lenient application process. You will not be denied entry on the grounds of interactions or past offences within OAZ(If any), or past experience in Roleplaying.
In the future, we will have a more streamlined process for joining applications.
