Artifact Pauper

Pauper is a popular format found in many trading card games which permits only the use of cheap and affordable cards. To get more familiar with the various low-budget ways of playing Artifact, please read this post. The format hopes to create an even playing field for users who either can't or don't want to spend a lot of money on cards, but also welcomes anyone willing to try their luck with creative deckbuilding on the cheap.

You can buy Artifact here. Upon purchase, the game will provide you with 20 packs and five tickets giving you a nice boost for your collection and allowing you to eaisly purchase most or all commons in the game!

What cards am I allowed to play with in this format?
Common rarity cards are the main (the cheapest) way to go, but there are formats supporting a mix of common and uncommon cards.

Are there any tournaments planned?
Yes! Check the subreddit, discord and the steam chatroom linked in group links.

How expensive is it to play this format?
Very cheap. Check out this annoucement for a shopping-list deck. You can import it into the game and see how expensive all the commons are going to be to purchase, the announcement includes instructions on how to do this.
