ArmA Bernds Reloaded

Note that there is 50 different DayZ Mods, but this Guide applies for most.
Also there is other ways to do this that work just fine, this is just the starters-guide.


1. Make sure you installed ArmA 2 and ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead

2. Download and install DayZ Launcher http://dayzlauncher.com/

3. Hit "settings" in the top right corner and check that the paths to ArmA 2 and Arrowhead are correctly set.

4. Go to the mods tab and hit "download" on any DayZ flavor you desire. DayZ Launcher will automatically start the game with the required Mods.


Additional Notes:

For Servers that say, for example, Overpoch, you'll need to install "DayZ Epoch 1.0.5.1" and "DayZ Overwatch 0.2.5"

There is also different maps. Chernarus is "the" standard map, and you don't need to install it. If you want to join a Taviana, Napf, Namalsk, Lingor etc server, then you need to install the Map, too. They're listed along with the mdos in the DayZ Launcher

If you run into trouble, hit the verify buttons in the settings menu to verify your game files as well as hit verify in the mod list to verify your mod files. Sometimes a download goes wrong or a file gets corrupted.

Sometimes its necessary to unscubscribe from the Beta program, right click ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead in the steam libery, hit properties, go to the BETAS tab, and select unsubscribe. It used to be necessary, but they changed the standard setting a while ago i think.
