When it comes to selecting a server you have a lot of options to choose from. From the Wildcard Studios (Arks developers) provided official servers to unofficial servers. While the official servers have their benefits, we feel that unofficial servers are where the most fun is. With official servers you'll find the game being played with the standard settings for both PVP and PVE. The downside to these settings is that it'll have you spending 3+ hours to tame a single dinosaur, and if it's on a PVP server it can (and probably will) be killed while you're offline.

Who likes logging on to play after a long day at work or school only to find every dinosaur you own and every building you constructed, destroyed? All those hours lost. All the progress gone. With official servers you will be relying on Wildcard to fix any problems you encounter, such as hackers making every ones play time unenjoyable, or high level players harassing new players. Again, where's the fun?

Enter us. Ark of the Earth. Here's why we rock!

We offer the ORP mod (Offline Raid Protection): This means that while you're at work or school you can have the peace of mind that you're protected. All your dinosaurs and buildings are boosted to 10 billion health when you log off.

Increased rates for taming: See a level 150 female Rex? Daughter's dance rehearsal in 2 hours? Fear not! Tame that sucker within an hour.

Increased rates for XP: Work 40+ hours a week? Can only play a few hours a week? Don't worry, you can gain levels twice as fast than official servers.

Server admins: Our team of admins are players too! We have over 4000 hours combined in the game and are ready to help answer questions and help new players start their journey. We also PVP, which just means we die a lot.

Server Rules: Our server rules are tailor-made and designed for our player base to enjoy the game the way it should be. Be competitive, not a jerk!

Server Mods: We offer a wide array of mods to the game that make life easier for everyone. More details can be found in the announcements tab of this group.

These are just a few points that I feel separate us from the rest. We have a great server with an already great community of mature players. We hope you give us a try.

Fellow ARK'ers! (Totally made that up as of this writing)

Allow me to list our server rules so that you can better understand what type of server you'll be playing on (hopefully) and what direction we would like to steer towards. Keep in mind that Ark in itself is unforgiving. You will die by others actions and your own.

1. No Griefing - This is simple and shouldn't need to be explained. Don't be rude - be cool. We wont allow our server to be populated with people who won't respect others.

2. No "Max Wipe" - What's max wipe? That's when you completely obliterate another player. Structures, dinos, and everything else that's owned. This type of play discourages people from playing. What's the point in playing if you force everyone to leave? What fun is that?
2a. No intentional killing of offline players. Offline casualties will happen in war. The sub rule applies to those lone wolf players who do not belong to a tribe or can not adequately defend themselves.
2b. Thievery. We have the Off Line Raiding (ORP2) mod installed. This will protect your structures and tames from being killed while offline. But will not prevent you from being robbed. That's what PIN codes and turrets are for. It's your responsibly to take the necessary precautions to protect yourself from this style of play.

3. No POI blocking - A POI or POINT OF INTEREST is a cave or ARK obelisk on the map. The purpose of the caves is to be explored. Blocking or restricting players from entering won't be tolerated. The ARK obelisks are also not to be obstructed in anyway. The volcano top will be considered a POI, as it has a large gathering of resources. Again. The obstruction or complete blocking of any POI will not be tolerated.

4. Adhere to ADMIN warnings - We won't get involved in a turf war between you and another tribe (as long as the integrity of the server is not in jeopardy). We will not come in and save you from being a victim. However, if we find that repeated attempts at harassment are taking place and we feel that it's unwarranted, we will issue a warning.
