Alpine Commonwealth

The Alpine Commonwealth ( fictional ) is located primarily in the Northern Limestone Alps. The Commonwealth consists of Vorarlberg, a state of Austria. Although the Commonwealth's location ( in Austria ) the nation's primary language is English. In fact, German is not even a regional, or secondary, language. Only a small percentage of the population speaks German. The population of the Alpine Commonwealth is made up of 372,791 people. The capital of the Commonwealth is Turamen, Kej. Kej is located in the northern part of the country. The small country, like other small countries, is known for extreme wealth. Unfortunately, the bulk of the wealth belonging to the government is put into the military, so the Alpine Commonweatlh may be very well protected. The Alpine Commonweatlh military consists of the Alpine Marines, and the Army of the Commonwealth. The Alpine Commonwealth lacks a navy.

The political system of the Alpine Commonwealth is a tricky one. At the top of the Alpine Commonwealth government is the Head of State, known as the Kerjha. Underneath the Head of State are the two Jekaz. After the Jekaz, are the sixteen members of the Befaz, a senate of sorts. Finally, are the 65 members of the Beraüz. Every party has to agree, after majority ruling. For any disagreement in the Beraüz or Befaz results to majority rule ( 50% + wins )

The Alpine Commonwealth cares greatly about the range they live by. The government tries to not industrialize the area as much as possible. Some ways of doing this are the use and creation of ( advanced ) dirt roads, and ferries. The environment is always taken into concideration before any decision is made within the government.
