New Denver.

The year is 2088.

Despite not really being ‘new’, in the sense that Denver was never demolished, or anything else, New Denver retains and gained many new characteristics since the days of old. She was chosen by the Terran Government to be one of their main hubs in North America.


Although she wasn’t the geographical center of the United States, Denver still managed to house one of the busiest Airports in the United States, and the rest of the world. Combined with historically being a tech center, and also being the largest (or second largest, depending on who you ask) city in the mountain states, it was only natural that she would become a major hub later on in life.

All things put together, she is a very cosmopolitan location, with a variety of peoples located throughout the city boundaries. Although she had a very diverse population before being made a hub, the newfound status only brought more people to her over time.

This nature isn’t necessarily the healthiest for her, though. As a result of all the diversity and increased population, crimes have gone on the rise, and plenty of displacement and gentrification has occurred over time.

Of course, those aren’t the only sources of problems. More affluent individuals, organized criminals, and regular domestic calls all add to the growing mass of them all. People breaking a bone, getting an allergic reaction, fainting, add to them all. All the individuals, bundled together, create a fire hazard over time.

New Denver isn’t a stranger to any of these things. Much like any other city or town, she needs a line of defense for both herself, and all the people who make up her population. This is where the Emergency services comes into play. Police Departments, Fire Departments, Emergency Medical Services, amongst others, helps to protect her.

They might not be working all the time, but they are on call whenever the city needs them.
