It's a Pirate's life for us!

Sea Of Thieves is a AU/NZ Pirate Roleplay server for ARK: Survival Evolved running on the Pirate World conversion mod. Our server was inspired by our love of Ark, Pirates and the recent anouncement of Rare's new Sea Of Thieves game.

In our server we promote a fun pirate experience, here are the simple server rules we have set to ensure that YOU the players, have a fun Pirate RP experience. These rules must be followed with no exception.

RULES:

1. No OOC (Out Of Character) Harrassment or Abuse.
if you are Roleplaying In Character (IC) as a Pirate, feel free to Roleplay as one and tell your rival captains what you think of them, but when you take the abuse OOC and make it personal, our admins will step in and deal with the issue.

2. Pirates must sail a Black Flag.
If you and your crew intend to pillage and plunder others, then you must buy a pirate ship and sail the black flag so that other players can identify that you are a pirate, you CAN NOT attack other non pirate ships or bases unless you are seen as a pirate, if you are caught attacking non pirate ships on a non pirate ship then the admins will punish the players involved.

3. No attacks on Ships or Bases with underwater dino's
in our recent experience we have found that players griefed others with underwater creatures by attacking the ships from below as well as bases with teurrets etc. giving the attacking player a unfair advantage on others. We found that this had spoiled the Pirate experience and we will not allow it in our server, if you use underwater creatures they may only be used as transport/gathering or to attack other players on underwater creatures. We feel that if you are in our server to RP Pirates then you shouldnt feel the need for underwater creatures.

4. No sinking of ships while owner is offline.
you are permitted to board a ship if the owners are offline and raid it, but you are not allowed to sink that ship if they are offline.

5. No Gun Turrets
This one is obvious guys, we are here to RP Pirates and having turrets do all the work breaks the RP of being a pirate and we will not allow them in the server. you are however allowed to have a maximum of 2 plant turrets at your base for defense

6. Cannon's are for Ships and Bases.
The cannon's are tough in the mod and players are NOT allowed to place them anywhere other than their Ship or their base for defense against Ships. anyone caught using them away from their ships or bases will be banned.

7. No killing at the Port Royal Store.
As soon as a player enters the Port Royal Store cove they are in a safe zone, anyone that attacks others within a safe zone will answer to an admin.

8. No Running from combat to Store.

Breaking these rules can result in temporary or even permanant bans.

Seeing as we are roleplaying as Pirates we have decided that Offline Raiding will be Permitted so be sure to build some defense walls, plant turrets and tame some guard dinos. but no killing of passive dinos.
