The Age of Petty Kings

At the wall, the lord commander and his commanders have been deciding on how best to meet the threat and how to defend the wall should he try and attack. During this time it was decided that straw summies would be dressed up in black clothes and given torches to carry, the aim of this is to make the night's watch's number look much larger than in reality. Their is no warfare as effective as psycologic warfare after all.

Lord Commander Markus has also requested that any wildling warlords and cheifs who do not wish to join the King Beyond the Wall and are willing to help out the Night's Watch come to Castle Black at their earliest convenience to discuss what role they could play in the fighting to come.

Meanwhile, at Eastwatch-by-the-Sea, the ships have gathered and horses are being brought in from around the North and the middlelands of Westeros while riders are too beinf trained. In order to make the Night's Watch the best it can be, their will be a few reforms:

1. The entire watch can vote to remove a Lord Commander from office, this requires a 81% majority to take place however.

2. Armement will now by handed out, no longuer will it depend on what you can and can't afford, everything will be uniformed. Builders, Rangers and Stewarts will all be issued different looking uniforms, though all will be given the standard castle-forged swords. The Watch has requested permission from King Stark in the south to buy shields froem them for the Rangers.

3. Each fort has been issued a unique banner, this banner simbolises their post and their duty. It is theirs to do with what they wish, but it is their responsability to keep this banner secure, for should it be lost, their honour will be lost.

4. No King, Lord, commoner or sellsword will be able to pass through the wall without the express consent of the Lord Commander or acting lord of Castle Black, however nothing stops you sailing around if you so wish to die.

5. A small unit of only about 100 builders at Castle Black are beinf trained with pikes, shoudl the wall fall under attack they will form a pike wall in the tunnel... the only way through the wall.

6. A moat and bailey style ring will surround castle black and eventually a outer ring wall made out of wood or/and stone willbe built, secureing nothing like the previous incident happens again.

Also 500 men under Lin Snow will go out to the Nightfort and camp their and scout the main road to Castle Black and the Wall, and must ride back should anything be spotted or go missing. They are not to try and hold the Nightfort against the King Beyond the Wall unless forced to and even then find a way to alert the Watch.

The Lord Commander also wishes to speak to the King of The North to discuss to future of the lands beyond the Wall.
