⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀> More specifically to the character Esdeath.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀The name itself is a wordplay.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀> "Esdeath" sounds like "S desu" in japanese;
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀> which can loosely be interpreted as "I am an S(-adist)"

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Over time, that idea evolved into Ez Death
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Ez" is a common term in Counter-Strike culture, often used ironically
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Death" stuck because, well... the wordplay was too good to let go ehe
