62nd New York Volunteer Infantry

Welcome to the 62nd NY Steam group! The 62nd NY is a regiment that is planned to be formed on the release of War of Rights! It is a continuation of the 62nd Wilshire Regiment of Foot, a Mount & Blade: Napoleonic Wars regiment, which disbanded on the 12th of July 2015.

Although our group says we are from the US, we are, in actuality, a multinational regiment with members from the US, the UK, the Republic of Ireland, Luxembourg, Canada, the Netherlands and more! Because of this, we cater to both EU and NA time zones for our events, and will do our best not to leave anyone out.

As the regiment has not officially formed as of yet, we have not fully settled on which role we will play on the battlefield. Although the 62nd 'Anderson Zouaves' historically fulfilled the role of light infantry, the preference of melee combat among the veteran members of the 62nd Wiltshire, as well as the more lax rules of infantry combat in the American Civil War, means that we may be skirmishing, firing in volleys and charging with bayonets all in one event! The final decision will, ultimately, rest with the wishes of the members of the whole regiment, not just the leadership or the veterans, but also the newer members.
