14e Régiment d'Infanterie

"...these troops (14e) had been, not only well trainedbut were battle hardened men, strengthened by the scars of past battles and wars. The Grenadier company showing their prowess in mélee day-in, day-out as they fought with such extreme ferocity that could send any foes running before they met their end. The Fusilier company would then step in to clean up the fleing foes. This strong sense of bravery and patriotism, has since earnt the 14e many awards and accolades.

The 14e is a French infantry regiment that specialises in melee and ranged combat by having our troops specialise in one field or the other. We do our very best to create a friendly, cohesive community in a semi-serious environment for line battles & reg v reg competitions.

We attend events on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays with trainings during the weekend and weekdays.

The regiment was created on the 1st of January 1791 and was renamed the 14th Semi-Brigade in 1793.

On the 7th of April 1796, the Demi-Brigade was then united with the Lower Seine Demi-Brigade and was posted in Italy in September than year. These two "Demi-Brigades" then formed the 14e Régiment d'Infanterie, one of the first infantry regiments to be led by General Bonaparte. The 14e Régiment d'Infanterie then took part in the battle of Rivoli on the 14th and 15th of January 1797. This was the beginning of their soon-to-be unrivalled record of martial prowess.
