losing I hope
Not in 35 trillion debt
Occupuing 1/3 of a country
Reality is reality like it or not

Italy and Europe are going to up the stakes. Russia will not accept any peace deal. It is a farce. Taiwan is coming soon.

Militarily winning they are, but they are risking becoming a Chinese vassal economically to do so. Win or lose the war, I do not see Russia will ever hold the strength it once held, and if it wasn't for all it's Nukes, it would be considered a regional power at most.
China will probably colonize Russia.

Occupying territories (not 1/3 btw) which is basically a wasteland at the cost of billions in hardware and over a million in lives while getting refineries and arms depots blown up is not a good barometer for winning. Plus enduring sanctions.
If they went in and accomplished installing a friendly government within weeks that may be considered a win.

I'd say they're very slowly on track for one of the greatest pyrrhic victories ever.

Putin hasn't been able to beat a single run in Hades, so Russia is clearly losing.
They've taken their stated goals and kept it. So I suppose they are winning.

Not colonize. Once Russia is sufficiently weakened they might make a grab at the eastern territories, reclaim Manchuria or make a grab at the natural gas and fresh water rich areas.

is that why USA considers disbanding the NATO and its allience with EU? because Russia isn't a worthy oponent?
ecomically losing. infact Putin might not be able to come out of a war footing even if all combat ceased tomorrow.

As to the war, Russia is evidently not winning as its year 4 of their invasion and they've lost control of several key areas/satellite countries. eg. Syria/Black Sea.

Also, any recent gains seem to be limited as they cant fully control even "conquered" cities like Pekrovsk.

if, as I suspect, the USA sides with Russia then Ukraine will fall.

Everything hangs in the balance.
It depends who you listen to and want to believe.

I guess they are just getting tired of paying more than everyone else, but I doubt they will abandon NATO anytime soon.

Russia is a European threat, more than an American one, if one major European nation would directly join the war in Ukraine, it would probably be enough to to stop Russian advances, but I doubt they would be willing to take the losses to push for a counter offensive.
