Why Did Rich Europeans Eat Up All The Egyptian Mummies
Just Why
引用自 Langkard:
Yep. Mummy powder. It went on for about 6 centuries in Europe, until science finally got to the point in the 1800's that people stopped believing it was medicinal. It got so bad that it spurred a renewed robbing of tombs in Egypt and elsewhere and eventually counterfeiter started using more recent corpses from cemeteries dried up and ground. Fun stuff. Right up there with painting their faces with white paint which was highly toxic because it was made from lead and vinegar, actually called lead white.

It was their introduction to teriyaki flavor.
Well, because they can. The Egyptian government is know fighting to get them back, even if they are a bit dysfunctional.
They didn't eat them. . . .they snort them. Big difference.

Like all of the best humor in life it was a misunderstanding.

The practice began as a misunderstanding where Europeans confused the term "mummy" with "mumia," a sticky, tar-like substance from Persia that was used as a remedy.

Misunderstanding will never not be cosmically funny.
Yummy mummy yum yum ! :kae:

You should have seen what apothecaries used for their "medicines" in medieval times.
A vestige of that still goes on in china with rhino horn
