Topic:
It may depend - but as a manly man i have to say that i would never claim to be a victim, because it means i´m no longer a manly man. Only beta people are victims.
No, seriously. It depends. It gets annoying when certain people always claim to be victims, and even if You give a solution, they find another thing where they´re the victims. I guess it´s done for attention. And being recognized as a victim is the only way they could ever get any attention. One needs to avoid them, becasue it leads to nothing. And then they would claim that they´re victims, becasue other people avoid them.
Also i personally find the idea better that i´m the only one who can decide who insults me or not. If one let´s others decide it - it would be bad, wouldn´t it?
TL;DR:
Self sabotage in many (probably most) cases.
Good luck as you continue to learn how forums and social etiquette work!
black hole personalities sabotage everyone and everything that they come in contact with.
