The unvarnished truth is it isn't, and it's teetering on dissolution. Only inertia is holding it together, and that isn't a binding agent. Decades worth of widespread institutionalized corruption. Have left an empty husk were a country once existed. They're fast running out of stuff to steal, and people with stuff to steal to kill. Once they run out everyone is going to scatter and plant their own flags.

If you want Russia to be great, (great than the west) then kick out the Kremlin thug and bring in jobs and opportunities from the west. You will see growth like you've never seen before.
